Out of The Box!

Ever wanted to surprise someone with a gift so cute that from the moment they see the box their excited? so super adorbs that he orshe would not want to open it in an attempt to savor the cuteness? With the special person in mind you go on a quest to get the most useful and adroable items you can find to give a unique and heartfelt gift. You know little things mean the most but you cant just throw it in some bag and hand it off. A regular ol' gift bag with tissue paper wont do either. its just to cute for that and your style is a lil more out of the box. Well, may i suggest, one way you can "step it up" is with good old wrapping paper and a bow. The key however is to keep within a theme or color scheme to fabulously show how much you care. Go a head mix and match patterns as we did here for an extra pop.  Heyyy!! now watch it work.... So on your next quest to give a beautiful gift that will solicit alot of awww's and oh's follow the tips above or leave it up to us and we will put together an amazing box of carefully handpicked items and ship it to the expectant mom-to-be of course with a beautiful card sending your love.

All wrapped up and ret-to-go

HOW MUCH DESIGN ARE YOU WILLING TO PAY FOR??

Little details make your event special but they can be costly; in both time and money. How much time is invested into putting all the details together will generally yield better results. When enough time is spent on those details it improves the guest/client experience. Those little details that you might deem unnecessary actually transform the room, mood and guest/client experience. My point?? Little details make all the difference. The time spent planning and putting them together will enhance the look of your event. Event styling not only serves to make the place look beautiful but it can create action, set the tone or alter a mood. Consider this: If you make a guest smile their more likely to remember the experience. If you set up a make your own donut station it will require action on the part of your guest, breaks the ice and enhances the mood. If you create a more polished design for your event it will convince your guest of the quality of the event.  These are small things that make a big difference. But they take time. Time to think of and time to put in place. Time that is so often lacking from projects. And yes we notice!

It balls down to how much are you willing to pay for event design/styling. If you go for the cheapest quote then the attention to detail will be lacking. It’s that straightforward. That's why we ask the sometimes uncomfortable question: HOW MUCH IS YOUR BUDGET?? We need to know how much time we get to spend on design and how much to spend on material. Having tons of material does not equal a fab event. Sorry we wish this was true but NO! you need someone to put it all together with style. Think of someone you know (no names) who may spend a lot of money on their clothes but still looks a mess. Same concept! Having the money to spend does not equal the vision to execute. That's why some people can walk into any store and walk out looking like a million bucks although they only paid a fraction of the cost.

We need to know how much you are willing to pay. Keeping your budget secret means we have to guess how much you want to pay for design. The winner isn’t the best stylist/designer, but the person who guesses closest to the figure you had in mind or the person who charges the least. You're better off having a conversation about budget first and what is possible within those limits. A number tells me how to guide you toward the appropriate solution for you, and to stay away from solutions that are outside of your price range.  It also avoids the embarrassment of having to tell your event stylist that you can't afford the grand design she/he's thought you wanted because you asked for champagne on a beer budget. Becoming realistic about your budget is the first step in planning a unique event that is representative of your personal style or theme.

College Trunk Party

This weekend we styled and designed a college trunk party for student of DSU this Fall. Using the school colors and logo as inspiration for the layout and design we came up with a rather cute spread to help this young lady, friends and family say "till next time" in style.

School colors, Cherry Red & Columbia Blue, color scheme was used throughout
Cupcakes, candy teas & lemonade
Raspberry Lime Mojito was a crowd pleaser
DSU, DSU, DSU!!!
Tasty spread for the guest. perfect for a hot summer day.
Blue velvet cupcakes
Strawberry, reapberry lemonade
Fruit and cheese platter. Delish!
Fruit tarts. Pretty and tasty!

The large container held  a blueberry tea. Perfect amount of sweetness. I spiked mine with a lil rum! It was amazing.

Showing school pride already... zero in on the nails...lol
